Delete Your Account

You can delete your langNote account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what gets removed, and what we may keep for legal reasons. It applies to the langNote mobile app and related services.
1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open the langNote app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and associated data are permanently removed.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email support@langnote.app from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity and delete your account within 30 days.
3. What is deleted
- your account and profile (email, display name, preferences);
- your uploaded study material — photos, audio recordings, PDFs, and text;
- your generated sessions, dictation, grammar, vocabulary, role-play, and quiz content;
- your review schedule, saved items, and role-play chat history; and
- your push notification token.
4. What we may keep
We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it — for example, billing and transaction records related to a paid subscription are kept by our payment processor (Stripe) for tax and accounting purposes. These records do not include your uploaded study material.
5. Cancel a subscription first
If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it before deleting your account (Profile → Manage subscription, or via the Stripe billing portal). Deleting your account does not by itself stop future charges if a subscription is still active.
