Terms of Service

langNote is a language-learning tool that turns the study material you upload — photos, audio, PDFs, and text — into organized dictation, grammar, vocabulary, role-play, and quiz content, and helps you review it over time. Throughout these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “langNote” refer to the operator of the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You can sign up with your email address or through Apple or Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please notify us promptly at support@langnote.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

You keep all ownership of the material you upload (“Your Content”). By uploading, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transform Your Content solely to provide the Service to you — for example, transcribing audio, reading images, and generating study material.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

You agree not to:

• upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates someone’s privacy;
• attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• use the Service to build a competing product or to resell its output; or
• misuse the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or deceptive material.

The Free plan includes a monthly upload limit and access to selected features. The Pro plan unlocks unlimited uploads, all study categories, and daily review. Plan limits are described in the app and may change over time.

Pro subscriptions are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

langNote uses third-party AI providers to transcribe and analyze your material. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for study purposes only. Please verify anything important — langNote is a learning aid, not an authoritative language reference.

We may add, change, or remove features, and we aim to keep the Service available but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security, or to protect the Service.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm langNote or other users. On termination, the license you granted us ends, subject to the data-retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, langNote will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or content arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
